Growing up in Indiana, in the summer, I always loved to go out to the fence near my house and find a honeysuckle vine that was flowering. Pull on the center stamen and out came a drop of honeysuckle dew. I ran it across my tongue. A wonderful youthful experience. This scent brings me back to my youth.

Artificial scents are made from petroleum by-products. I personally cannot stand the smell. But natural scents I love.

Ingredients:

Reverse Osmosis Purified Water:Reverse Osmosis is the gold standard of water. Obviously we wanted fast absorption. Using a water with any hard water components or contaminants would slow down this absorption. Most companies use 'purified' water. Which may or may not be as good. Might seem like a minor point, but I saw a huge difference in the quality of our products when we switched from 'just purified' about 19 years ago. Now we only use R-O Water.

MAHUA (MOWRAH) OIL (Madhuca longifolia) From India, a tree called the butter tree. Wonderful oil.

Emulsifying Wax, a vegetable wax when used at the right temperature combines oils and water into a true fast absorbing moisturizer. This is not xanthan gum or algin or seaweed. Those are thickeners and make fake moisturizers.

Stearic Acid: another vegetable wax that helps to make the moisturizer creamy.

Honeysuckle Absolute Oil (Lonicera caprifolium L.) is believed to possess a number of potent anti-oxidant properties that help fight against free radicals, effective in delaying the process of ageing. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant and anti-microbial qualities properties make it a wonderful oil to help prevent bacterial infections and to provide relief from aching joints and sore muscles.

Commonly included in cosmetic products, Honeysuckle Absolute Oil can soothe inflamed skin, eliminate pigmentation, and exfoliate your pores to reduce symptoms of acne. Furthermore, it can handle symptoms of eczema, psoriasis and other unsightly inflammatory skin conditions.

In aromatherapy, the invigorating aroma of Honeysuckle Absolute is beautifully warming and can help promote feelings of sense and calm. It is also considered to possess aphrodisiac properties and can be used to heighten the sexual excitement.
